What kind of toilet is "Wrappon"?
"Wrappon" is a portable toilet equipped with an "automatic wrap mechanism" originally developed by Japan Safety. Since the excrement is automatically wrapped (individually wrapped) each time, odors and microorganisms (bacteria) are sealed.
"Wrappon" is a portable toilet that is also used to prevent infectious diseases. In addition, sealing the excrement with a “lap-pon” will reduce the post-treatment effort.
What is an "automatic wrap mechanism"?
The automatic wrap mechanism is a system that wraps (individually wraps) excrement each time and seals it by thermocompression bonding without using water. A special deodorant film is used for the material that wraps the excrement. In addition to odor leakage, the combined use of a coagulant has been confirmed to have a blocking effect on microorganisms (bacteria).
In addition, since the special deodorant film uses polyethylene material, it does not generate harmful gas even when incinerated.

Disaster
Wrappon introduced victims’ shelters and supported many evacuees at Great East Japan Earthquake occurred in March 11,2011, Kumamoto Earthquake occurred in April 14(aftershocks) and April 16(main shock), “2018 July Heavy rain” disaster in 2018 and Typhoon No.15 and No.19 in 2019. Many government offices, municipalities, companies and corporations store Wrappon in order to prepare for life-threatening measures and advance preparations in the event of a disaster.

Long-term care
Wrappon has been introduced for not only home use but also many care homes and hospitals. At nursing care sites, Wrappon contributed to reduce the burdens for both care people and care receiving people for the trouble with excretion at nursing care site which is the smell, unsanitary and chore of bucket cleaning, thus Wrappon is contributing to the realization of a mentally comfortable long-term care life. Also, Wrappon is used as a countermeasure against infectious diseases in medical institutions. Wrappon is also useful at homes and care houses to prevent infection and to reduce secondary infection risk.

Camping and leisure
Wrappon is also active in camping cars and overnight in the car for travel and outdoor leisure. It is very difficult to use conventional portable toilets and cartridge toilets for treatment of sewage tank and its cleaning. Wrappon does not use the water so the car does not require water tank. Wrappon also wraps excrement individually every time so it shuts smell and microorganisms (bacteria). Therefore, you can keep the toilet clean every time even at leisure site. March 11, 2011 The Great East Japan Earthquake
“KIZUNA” project was formed by Nihon Safety Wrappon Division immediately after the Great East Japan Earthquake. This video is showing how the team actually installed 150 Wrappon portable toilets at 50 evacuation shelters in the disaster stricken area.
